The Advanced Analytics Institute at the University of Technology, Sydney, is offering a number of PhD scholarships to both local and international students for data mining and data science research.

AAi is proud to support and mentor the next generation of high calibre analytics graduates through awarded degrees in analytics and short courses.
We sincerely invite prospective talent students to join this diverse group of academics and to work on real-world high-impact theoretical and applied research problems of data science and data analytics.
The scholarships include generous living stipend and tuition fee waivers for international students, which is ~AU$52,000 per annum for three years. Local students with tuition fee waived will get generous living stipend as well.
Successful applicants will hold or be close to completing Honours or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related fields. Prior knowledge and experience in Data Mining, Machine Learning, Web and Text mining, Recommender Systems would be advantageous, but not compulsory. Successful applicants will also be offered the opportunities to participate in industry-oriented projects and possible paid industry internship.
